We were disappointed with our visit. The trails didn’t seem very well marked, the picnic areas were messy, and the bathrooms were in rough shape. We also had a hard time figuring out where some of the listed activities actually were once we got there. For what we paid, I expected a better experience. Did anyone else run into the same issues?

"Helpful staff, but the process took some patience"
The staff were friendly and genuinely seemed like they wanted to help with my booking question, which I appreciated. It just took a while to get a clear answer, so the whole thing felt a little confusing at times. In the end, it reminded me how much a smooth explanation can make a big difference, even when people are trying their best. Not a bad experience, just slower than I hoped.

I was really trying to enjoy my visit, but the bathrooms were so dirty that it made the whole experience feel disappointing. It felt like no one had bothered to check or clean them, and of course that ended up being the part that stuck with me the most. I hate when something like this ruins what could’ve been a decent outing

"Reservation turned into a headache"
I made a reservation but never received any confirmation, so I had no idea if it actually went through. I tried getting it sorted out, but it felt like nobody wanted to take ownership or give me a straight answer. Really frustrating experience.

I thought the trails were clean overall, at least from what I noticed. Maybe I’m being a little picky, but the bathrooms didn’t seem as well kept and could definitely use some work

"Pricey. Disappointing."
I booked through gastateparks.org and felt like it cost more than it should have. The fees piled up quickly, and the park amenities were just kind of basic. Meh. By the end, I left feeling like I paid too much for what we actually got...

"Picked a bad time to go, I guess"
There wasn’t much to look at when we visited. Maybe our timing was just bad, but the views felt dull, the trails had trash scattered around, and the lake area looked kind of messy. I was expecting nicer scenery from a state park, so it was a bit disappointing...
